    check out a song from Mr Jefferson titled 'New Money' Mr Jefferson - New Money

    DX = D Rock
    MJ = Mr Jefferson

    DX- so mr jefferson, why the name mr jefferson?
    MJ- well the influence for the name came from my grandfather. who i respect and look up to. but i chose to call myself mister because i'm after that respect ya know.

    DX- do you have any upcoming projects?
    MJ- yeah, i got the "hip hop bailout plan vol. 1" that should be released within these next two or three weeks. also i'm workin on my next mixtape which is titled "this aint a movie" so i got a few projects in the works right now.

    DX- so is there any set date for the mixtape?
    MJ- naw it aint a set date yet, but it'll be around the 25th. i'm just tryin to make sure everything is in place.

    DX- do you want to be signed to a major label?
    MJ- in a way yes, but in a way naw.... it has its ups and downs. i mean on one hand it'll allow me to be heard mainstream BUT whats the point if i cant speak my mind. ya know... i mean it has a lot more but you can pretty much figure everything else out. i'd like to sign as an independent artist so i can have my freedom to do me. but i wouldn't mind signin to a major label.

    DX- but you do understand that a label can put millions of dollars behind your music while independent labels cant right?
    MJ- yeah, i mean my music aint for the money you know. if that was the case i'd be on i love new york or some shit tryin to get some cash off some bullshit. independent labels give me my freedom and that's what matters the most. major labels also tax on every dollar they give ya. half the people you see that look like they got cake put on a front so the fans and everyday people dont think they rappin for shit ya know. and the ones who do actually got cash been in for some yrs+ ya know. with the independent labels majority of the profits come to me...

    MJ- if you go to MrJefferson.blogspot.com you can hear all the shit.
